2010 Event

Voices Against Brain Cancer would like to thank everybody who teamed up with us to raise funds to fulfill our mission of finding a cure for brain cancer by advancing scientific research, increasing awareness within the medical community and supporting patients and families afflicted with this disease.

The 3-mile walk was held Saturday 10.2.10 at East Potomac Park in Washington, D.C.

We were proud to honor: Dr. Henry Brem (Professor and Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine) with the 2010 Gary Lichtenstein Humanitarian Award and Eileen Bohan, RN, CNRN (Assistant Professor, Johns Hopkins University Department of Neurosurgery) with the 2010 Professional Caregiver Award. Prasad Inmula received a Courage Award in recognition of his fight with brain cancer. He has been a patient of Dr. Brem’s and Eileen’s for 20+ years.

$15,000 was raised and approximately 80 walkers and 250 donors participated.
